A little more Awesome News….And a release

Hey There,

I’ve been gone a little while, enjoying college football, which included two trips to Notre Dame, so my blog has been a little quiet while I enjoyed the company of friends, fall and football.

Now that I am back I have even MORE crafty news to share! I am joining the Sweet Stamp Shop again as a Design Team Member!

And today happens to be Sweet Stamp Shop’s Release Day, featuring new sets HERE.

If you are stopping by from the Sweet Blog, I have more cheesy goodness to share with you:

Cheese Please Card JustTyra for Sweet Stamp Shop_edited-2

And how about a gift tag?

Cheese Please Tag JustTyra for Sweet Stamp Shop_edited-1

This card and tag makes the perfect set for a foodie gift! Thanks so much for visiting! I look forward to bringing you more calorie free sweetness from the Sweet Stamp Shop very soon!

Time Savers: Back to School Tag

With school starting next month (time flies, doesn’t it?), I searched my stash for stamps with a “back-to-school” theme and I created the following tag:

Teacher Tag JustTyra_edited-1

The tag above was created with Sweet Stamp Shop images, Studio Calico Alphas and Inspiration Ave’s stamped sentiments.  I colored in the images with Copics of various colors.   I was pretty satisfied with the finished product except for the fact that I have more than one child, which means  I have more than one teacher to create a gift tag for.

So I made a photocopy of the tag using my supper cheap and old HP Inkjet onto more Neenah card stock. I used my lil’ inkers tag die cut the copy, resulting in:

Teacher Tags Just Tyra

Two tags that are nearly identical.  I added some shading to the glue bottle on the copy similar to the original.  A true timesaver!    That’s all for now. Take care and thanks for stopping by!

Designing With the Sweet Stamp Shop: CAS Plus

It’s been while since I popped in.  I will blame it on the recent snow invasion here in the US Midwest and a week of snow days for both school and work.  So we are behind in this household! In any case, I wanted to pop in and share a few sneaks and bonus looks at what I have designed for the Sweet Stamp Shop.  I am hosting a new series, “CAS Plus” where I (try my best) to show how to use I design elements on CAS (Clean and Simple) cards.

Last week I shared how I love using do-it-yourself journaling cards.  Here is one look at one of the cards I created:

Today I’m sharing on the blog a few tips on using washi tape.  Check out how I stamped a sentiment right on top of washi using (Staz-On ink):

Tip: using decorative edge scissors to give a distressed but consistent clean cut to the edges of your washi tape strips.  I love how I found a new use for an old staple 🙂

Check back tomorrow for another project I created using the super cute January Release! Thanks for much for stopping by the blog.

Than so much for stopping by!

Designing with the Sweet Stamp Shop: CAS Plus

Today I created a few cards featured over at the Sweet Stamp Shop as part of my new Series “CAS Plus” where I’m sharing fun CAS-friendly techniques. Click here for more.  In the meantime, check out this card I created using the latest release:

Lots of stamping on patterned paper here along with a fun embellishment to the cute little washing machine.  Would laundry be fun if all we had to clean were glitter?  Well, that’s all for me. Thanks so much for stopping by! xo – Tyra
